We are pleased to invite you to the premiere of our newest author's program - "Spherical Astronomy"
It will take place on June 3, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. in the Star Hall of the Smolyan Planetarium
Duration: about 30 minutes
“Spherical astronomy” is the science that helps us understand the movement of celestial bodies. It considers the stars as points on a huge celestial sphere around the Earth in order to calculate exactly when they rise, set and how to navigate them. The program presents the star coordinates and coordinate systems in an accessible and visual way under the dome of the planetarium.
